Rent map of Manchester

We’ve never been shy with our love of Manchester. We could literally go on, and on, and on….

But one of our favourite things is the variety of everything. From places to people – no matter what you’re looking for, you’re bound to find it somewhere. Whether you’re in the heart of the city or tucked away in the suburbs. If you want an eclectic urban lifestyle where there is something new to do every night... you’ve got it. You might prefer a more leafy and scenic village vibe… yep, we’ve got that too. How about a fantastic affordable home that’s close to schools and shops that’s perfect for raising a family? Yes… you guessed it. Another box ticked.

Manchester opens its doors to everyone, that’s all part of its charm.  No two areas are the same and the city is home to all walks of life. While the city centre itself may have a certain je ne sais quoi, when looking for a new home, it can be an idea to look a little further afield in order to broaden our property horizons.

With rental property, each area tends to attract a different price tag. The Manchester Evening News recently published an article showing a rent map of Manchester based on all the different tram stops and gives an average monthly rental price* for each district - you can see the full map here.

The design is originally based on the London tube map, which similarly sees average rental prices for each tube stop (although Manchester seems to come off a lot more affordable price wise…). It’s actually pretty fascinating to see the varying averages across the different areas of Manchester and its surrounding areas, particularly if you’re a property geek like us.
