I’m a Portfolio Manager here which basically means that I manage client’s assets, and it’s really this that sets us apart from our competition. I help our landlords maximise the returns on their investment by evaluating market trends and rental demands, I also act as a designated point of contact and help with reporting on income/expenditure, tax services, quarterly reporting and portfolio reviews. I also manage my team of property managers, so there definitely aren’t any dull moments. Being busy certainly keeps me on my toes.Q2) What’s the best part of your job?A mixture of things really but one at the top of the list has to be the variety of clients. Some clients have one or two properties and some have large portfolios of 100+, so although there is quite a lot to juggle, I really enjoy the challenge. I also thrive on our team being ahead of the game. We all work really closely and are constantly researching different markets and this is something else I enjoy. Many of the properties we manage are high-end apartments and I often get involved with photography, viewings and tenant vetting to ensure that our landlords are getting the best tenant and are making the absolute most of their investment. Happy landlords and tenants is obviously what we strive for and the fact that people love what we do has to be the absolute best part of the job. Q3) Why do you love working at Ascend?One thing I have learnt working at Ascend for the last year, is that anything is possible! I love that we’re much more than an average high street agent and the fact that we are a paperless office, with a massive online presence.
