Ascend strikes a deal to acquire Monton based Living Quarter So we’ve been sitting on some news that we’ve been keen to announce for some time – but we’re very pleased to finally say that we have acquired Monton based agency, Living Quarter! Those of you who’ve been with us since the beginning (the beginning being 2014) may or may not know that we have grown pretty phenomenally in such a short time. Growing from a team of 4 to over 40 members of staff across 4 offices, we’ve achieved quite a lot in those three years...We, of course, launched our second flagship branch in Liverpool city centre earlier this year and the wheels have kept on turning ever since. With Living Quarter now a member of the Ascend team, we’re looking to achieve an amazing £3.5m turnover in 2018 - not only this, but this new deal will see our total number of managed properties rise to almost 2,500! Pretty impressive if we do say ourselves. Our director Ged, has some words to share in light of our news: “It really has been a phenomenal year for Ascend. We’ve won a number of large clients and awards, in addition to opening a second branch in another key city. With this new acquisition, we’ll be propelled into a more suburban market, allowing us to extend our reach to beyond the city centre and continue to expand our offering. We’re truly excited for the future.”And he should know, he’s certainly made a mark in the North West property business, as Ged has a proven track record for the acceleration of small businesses. At just 25 years of age, our Ged acquired shares in Manchester estate and letting agency, Curtis and Bains, where he spearheaded the team to achieve an annual turnover of £1.5m before selling the business to Countrywide, proving he’s more than just a pretty face!As director at Ascend, Ged has driven its growth, utilising over a decade of experience within the sector and pushed turnover figures to £1.5m in 2016. Now Living Quarter, which is projected to boost our turnover by a massive 15%, is set to receive the same treatment, and Ged hopes to build on an already successful and established suburban brand.Ged explains: “Living Quarter has been established in Monton for 6 years and has a great reputation. Their ethos is very much in-line with ours, with extremely high client retention thanks to the team’s exceptional customer service. I’m incredibly happy to be welcoming the Living Quarter brand to our family.” Back to news Posted: 09 October 2017 Posted in: Manchester
