2015: The Year of Ascend

It’s been one heck of a year for Ascend, so much so that we don’t even know where to begin. We’ve had fun and excitement, as well as many challenges and obstacles… but we’re happy to say we did it all with a smile on our faces. This has been the best year for us and we know that 2016 is going to be even better.  

Key moments

We initially launched Ascend in 2014 and were determined to hit the ground running in 2015 – and hit the ground running we did! Our team are an absolute credit to us: Ryan did an amazing job smashing an open house viewing for some very happy clients back in March. Not one to be outdone, Rob then managed to rescue some stranded viewers in need who had been stood up by their own agent. After taking them under his wing, they were so impressed with what Rob had to offer, they made the switch over to Ascend and found their dream apartment. A big thumbs up.

In May, Rob was back on form and stepped up to do his bit for charity by taking part in the Great Manchester Run. He ran the full 10k in under an hour and managed to raise over £200 for Francis House Children’s Hospice, and we couldn’t have been prouder. And it turns out the hard work and dedication of the Ascend agents wasn’t going unnoticed further afield too, as property review site, allagents, named three of our agents as some of the best in Manchester. Ryan, Ashley and Rob all got top marks for their customer skills and collectively won gold, silver and bronze for the best letting agents in our district. Well done lads!

The awards didn’t stop there, as once again allagents recognised our stupendous property skills and gave us a further five awards in September. Yep, that’s right – FIVE. Four of which were gold awards, ranking us as best agents in Manchester, Greater Manchester and the entire North West area. We were so excited – the dance moves unashamedly made an appearance…

Then came the opening of our flagship branch on Deansgate.  Our rapid expansion led to us making a new home for ourselves in Manchester city centre after much planning, paint picking and décor choosing. Free Coffee Fridays became our ‘Friday thing’ and our guys are now loving the city centre life, especially when we have swanky new technology like our touch screen TV. And to top off a pretty incredible year, we get yet another award nomination, this time from Insider Media for Residential Sales and Letting Agent of the Year! Just to be shortlisted is a huge achievement for our team and we wish the best of luck to all nominees.

What’s next?

We managed to pack quite a lot into 2015, and we’re happy to say that it was a fantastic year for us. There’s only so much we can mention and even with all our achievements listed above, there are many more we could have included. But we’re not ones to live in the past – we’re starting to look forward to a new year on the horizon and we’re ready to conquer it once again.

In 2015, we managed to get over 1,000 managed properties under our belt – a huge milestone for us, and one which isn’t replicated by many other agents. Next year, we’re on track for even more growth, and not just in Manchester. We manage properties all over the UK, whether it be the highest points of the North to right down into the South coast.

We don’t want to reveal too much too soon about next year’s plans, but trust us when we say we’ve got much more up our sleeves.
