Why should you move to Liverpool?

By now, it’s likely the news of our Liverpool opening will have spread far and wide – very exciting stuff for us! This fab city has so much to offer, and with such a high demand for property here, we couldn’t think of a better place to open our second branch.

There are hundreds of reasons why we decided to launch our new office here, it would be impossible to pick just one. But there will be many of you considering a move to this city and wondering if it’s the right place for you. Never fear, as we’re here to help and our handy A-Team have provided the lowdown on everything they do, see and explore in the city. From shops and bars to days out and nightlife, we’re here to tell you everything that makes Liverpool one heck of a place to live.

·         The Nightlife

If you’re looking for a good night out, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better place than Liverpool. Looking for a romantic meal for two? Or a few cocktails early doors? How about a full blown night of dancing on tables? This city has it all.

For music fans, Mathew Street is where the party never stops. Whether you’re out at 4pm or 4am, you’ll see locals dancing at all hours. Full of bars hosting live music and home to the famous “Cavern Club”, it’s ideal for a night out – the street even hosts its own festival in the summertime! But you’ll want to make sure you’re dressed up to the nines as there’s one thing for sure, Liverpudlians don’t do things by halves when it comes to a night on the town.

·         The Docks

Liverpool’s waterfront is by far one of its stand out features and a must-see for anyone visiting the city. With beautiful views and scenery, it’s hard to believe at times this tranquil dock is located right in the heart of Liverpool, just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by the stunning three graces, you’ll be in awe of the local architecture as well as the waterfront views.

Think you’ll be stuck for things to do? Think again. The Albert Dock is home to three national museums, an art gallery and the Echo arena… along with an abundance of bars and restaurants. And don’t forget, you can always catch the famous “Ferry ‘cross the Mersey” for that picture perfect sunset.

·         The Green Space

It may be a big city, but it’s certainly not all grey and concrete here. One of the best things about Liverpool is you’re never too far away from green and pleasant land – and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a relaxing walk through the park? Especially when it’s right on your doorstep!

Liverpool has an astonishing 43 outdoor parks and play areas across the city, one of the main ones being Sefton Park. Located just a short distance from the city centre, the park is one of Liverpool’s largest – perfect for a picnic, a dog walk or for even just lazing about in the sun (when it eventually turns up).

·         The Food

If it’s food you’re after (or “scran” to the locals) you’ll be spoilt for choice. In the centre of Liverpool you’ll find Bold Street, full of an eclectic mix of cuisines available that are sure to suit any taste buds. Everything from high end restaurants and homemade rustic dishes, to craft beer and coffee, there’s a great mix of culture and flavour in each place you pass – safe to say Bold Street often smells amazing as a result!

And you can’t live in Liverpool and not have a good ol’ bowl of Scouse – a local twist on a classic stew which is sure to hit the spot. Satisfying and the perfect dish at warming you up during those colder months (Liverpool can get a bit nippy at times, coastal breeze and all that).

·         The Friendly Faces

It may be a cliché, but it really is the people that make the city what it is today. The people of Liverpool are known for their outgoing and bubbly nature and their innate desire to help anyone in need. Besides having one of the most recognisable accents on the planet, you can’t deny that the friendly people of Liverpool make it such a warm and loving place to live. Anyone living in Liverpool will tell you that everyone treats each other like family and every shop, bar or restaurant makes you feel like home – so why would you want to live anywhere else?
