North West sees increase in average rent While lockdown has been hard on the majority of business in many sectors, it has also been causing some positive changes to the Private Rental Sector. Heading into the fourth month of the ‘mini boom’, we are still seeing many positive outcomes in our sector and particularly here in the North West. The average rent across England has declined by 3.4% since March while the South West has taken a hit of 7.7% and of course, London has seen the biggest decline with rent down by 7.9%. All in all, 7 out of the 10 regions across England have seen rents drop while the North West has seen a rise of 1.3% - the highest of all the regions. Not only is this great news for us and you, our landlords, but it also solidifies our beliefs that the North West provides some of the best opportunities in PRS in the country, for both the landlord and tenant. This rise in rent offers up improved margins for Landlords but doesn’t leave the tenant at a loss as they receive the highest standard of support from our lettings teams. In the current climate it’s safe to say you can be rest assured that your property is in the right place, at the right time, with the right team.
