Let us set the scene…
Ascend was approached by the owner of a large property portfolio spanning across several Manchester city centre developments.
The owner had followed the growth of Ascend for quite some time and had been impressed with our marketing and the results we’d been posting across our social media channels.
After a competitive 5-way pitch against some of Manchester’s top agents, the owners were excited with our tailored proposal and market knowledge, so much so that we were tasked to sell 15 units across 2 developments (Vimto Gardens and Smithfield Building).

Due to Ascend’s performance with the 15 properties instructed to sell, the owner instructed Ascend to sell 10 apartments at The Assembly, a renowned development in the heart of Manchester city centre.
The vendor owned 124 units within this development and these would continue to be managed by another large Manchester city centre agent.
Due to the success of this release and an increased understanding of how Ascend operate, the owner transferred the management of 52 rental units to Ascend’s property management team.
After a thorough stock and rent review, our property management team increased the monthly rent roll by a huge 22% in less than 3 months.
The end result…
After clearly demonstrating a proactive approach with evident results, the owner then transferred the remaining 72 units over to Ascend to fully manage.
Ascend conducted additional reviews, monitored tenancy renewals and initiated a full marketing campaign specifically for this development. This resulted in our team re-letting these units at around 30% higher than the previous large corporate agency.
After 6 months hard work, Ascend has increased monthly rent roll by a huge 36.2%.
